Viewing Images with the MS Windows Client

Version 2.1-6 and later of the Windows Client do not have a built in image viewer. Instead, users are offered the the following choices the first time they view an image:

  • Use the application registered with Windows to open TIF files.
  • Use the Windows Image Preview application.
  • Use an existing copy of the Fax2Send image viewer.
  • Use an application specified by the user.

The recommended method is to use the Windows Image Preview application. This is Kodak Imaging or Preview for Windows 98/ME/2000 or the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer for Windows XP.

Please note that you may need to install this component of Windows from your installation CD.
